Birthday: March 8th, IS 444

Appearance: Brown hair, green eyes, wearing the formal Harmonian robes complete with CUSHION HAT. Doesn't wear gloves like most True Rune bearers would.

Personality: Sasarai is an eternally polite and formal man. His youthful apperence often causes others to be shocked by his wisdom and social grace. However, having lived a sheltered life for thirty years, Sasarai is severely lacking in more meaningful social interaction and is even barely able to care for his own person. He is literally unable to take care of himself. He cannot clean, cook, or even prepare his own tea. Most of the time, Dios took care of him much more like a butler than a first officer. This isn't something Sasarai sees as much concern, but his exposure to the everyday lives of "normal" people did leave him a bit bemused at his own inablity to perform most daily tasks and has left him with some measure of desire to improve this fact. It likely would never happen, given how doting Dios is.

Sasarai, however, has a very private side of his personality in relation to his existence. Luc's revelations to him have caused an internally directed depression. While he does still smile and act congenial in public, in his privacy, he thinks on the reasons for his being and broods. Depression, anger, and angst all stem from this, but he is exceptionally careful to not let these concerns be public.

Sasarai also has an exceptionally bad habit of coming off as condescending even when he does not intend to. This, of course, goes back to his sheltered upbringing and the general status of Harmonia as a whole.

Weapons: Guardian's Eye.

Skills/Special Abilities: Semi-talented strategist, very talented diplomat and mediator. He's also capable of complex rituals, knowing how to preform them better than most.

Other Abilities: He actually lacks the skill to preform most everyday chores like washing and cleaning.

Runes: True Earth Rune.

Weaknesses: Physically weak, also is very sloppy at anything outside of his field of expertise

History: Sasarai is an extremely high ranking Bishop within the Holy Harmonian Empire. He has held this rank for at least fifteen years and loyally served Harmonia is several conflicts. What he does not know, however, is that the High Priest of Harmonia (aka its dictator), Hikusaak, created Sasarai for one purpose and one purpose alone, that being to be the bearer of the True Earth Rune. Hikusaak's ambition is to have every one of the 27 True Runes collected under Harmonian control, if not its indirect influence. In order to do so, he has developed many means by which he could posses multiple True Runes. One technique being the ability to clone himself from raw genetic material created by magic. Sasarai is one of two "twin' clones created to control a Rune.

When Sasarai and his "twin" Luc were still very young, however, Luc was kidnapped by a woman scorned by Harmonia by the name of Leknaat. This forced a change in plans as to how the twins would be handled, and Sasarai was raised with no memory of the other twin and was bred into the position of Bishop so that Hikusaak might better protect and control his assets. And a loyal Bishop was Sasarai, even going on a field mission of good faith to aid the madman King Luca Blight of Highland in his war against Dunan. However, this same mission placed him in direct confrontation with his long lost twin, Luc. During the battle, Luc activated his own True Wind Rune and completely wiped out the Harmonian unit. Sasarai was distressed by his inability to properly use True Earth before Luc, and questioned his "father" Hikusaak for the first time in his life, but never received any information. The fact was, True Earth recognized his twin, and Luc was fully aware of their brotherhood and status as puppets to Hikusaak, whereas Sasarai was not and his lack of knowledge forced one rune to submit to the other.

Sasarai would think on that incident often in the fifteen years that followed. His mind was soon distracted though as Harmonia received reliable information from an unknown masked man that the True Fire Rune was active within the Grasslands. Sasarai had not been alive to witness the original Fire Bringer War or the Flame Champions awesome True Fire Rune fifty years ago, but he did know that the Flame Champion had stolen said Rune from Harmonia and it must be retrieved at all costs. The Masked Man was made into a Bishop ranked officer and worked alongside Sasarai in a delicate campaign to move into the Grassland, violating a treaty, in order to find and retrieve the True Fire Rune. This movement of fate would turn out to be the most dire in Sasarai's life...

Upon finally finding and confronting the Second Flame Champion Hugo, Harmonia was forced into all out war with not only Grassland, but also Grassland's long time enemy, the Zexen Confederacy. But the Masked Bishop, along with his mysterious cohorts, pulled through for Harmonia and nearly wiped out the Firebringers until a display of the True Fire Rune's power brought to light the true identity of the Masked Bishop...

The Masked Bishop was in fact Luc, the bearer of True Wind and Sasarai's twin brother. The entire war was part of his orchestrated plot to gather the Elemental Runes and destroy his own True Wind Rune, ridding him of the fate he had been forced into living out by Harmonia. Using a Sindarian technique, Luc forcibly removed Sasarai's True Earth Rune and left his twin for dead, knowing that their fragile genetic make up was not meant to exist without their Runes. Sasarai is, amazingly, saved by his first officer Dios and whisked out of the Harmonian camp, which turned out to nothing more than well disguised demons summoned by Luc's cohorts, The Destroyers. Before Sasarai passed out, though, Luc revealed to Sasarai the entire story and purpose of their existence...the fact that they were nothing more than clones of Hikusaak designed to carry True Runes. Pawns of Holy Harmonia whom were destined to live only to be used...

Sasarai soon found himself aligned with Hugo and the united forces of Grassland and Zexen in order to take back his Rune. Not only that, but Luc's plan would also probably destroy Grassland entirely along with most of Zexen and Harmonia, including untold effects on the rest of the natural world given a True Rune governs a particular element of life in the universe. Sasarai found himself thrust into the position of a heroic commander serving alongside Hugo of True Fire, Chris Lightfellow of True Water, and Geddoe of True Lightning. He did not mind this position though...the often sheltered Bishop found himself becoming close friends with his fellow officers. He began to enjoy a life beyond Harmonian laws and citadels. Sasarai, for the first time in his life, was truly living. It put his entire existence into question...

Even after confronting Luc and seeing to his defeat, Sasarai still questioned his place in life. He returned to Harmonia and began to be crippled with existential angst. He longed for the freedom of life "true" beings lived...he needed to confront Hikusaak and find the answers to his own being. And only Hikusaak could answer them.
